ERFSC’s new EOTR Senior Health and Wellness Program seeks to address several areas affecting seniors to include caregiver relief, food insecurity, and social isolation. The Washington Home Foundation has made it possible for the new Senior Health and Wellness Program to provide services to an additional 3800 seniors in Wards 1, 7, & 8. The East of the River Regional Socialization Hub's Friendship Cafes and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program held a Valentine's Brunch for seniors at the Bus Boys and Poets on Carroll Street NW on Monday, February 13, 2023. Seniors from Ward 7 and Ward 8 enjoyed themselves with prizes, giveaway items, live music from the Jazz Duo with Wendy from the Arts for the Aging, and a fun dating game. Please see attached pictures and videos. Special Thanks to Laura Napoleon, Rose Ansara, Beatrice Delima, and the wonderful MC for the day, Destane Richardson. The team planned and coordinated a great event for seniors.
